Although Pelicad primarily focuses on turning CAD planning data into 2D visualizations, it also enables you to create Augmented Reality experiences.
Either publish your 3D CAD model as a WebAR model by creating a simple link or let stakeholders experience your vision live on-site in a dimension of 1:1.
To do the latter, you need to download the cityscaper App (no worries - it's completely free). You can also experience other public AR projects, so it's worth taking a look!
Be on site
To start the AR experience, go to the project location. To find nearby projects, open the map in the project overview of the cityscaper app.
Select project
At the project location, choose the corresponding project from the tile with the desired title. You will now get a brief overview of the planned project. If you want to immerse yourself in the AR experience, press "VIEW PROJECT IN AR".
Allow GPS and camera access
When starting an AR experience for the first time, the app will ask for access to your GPS and camera. For more information on how your data is used, please see our privacy policy.
Recognize surroundings
To display virtual content, the app needs to recognize the surroundings. Move the camera with as much parallax as possible. The paper airplane will help you with this. Have fun!
Having trouble downloading?
The store will inform you if your device is not available. This occurs especially with older iOS and Android devices.
Google services blocked
Do you have a modern device but the app is not available? Some providers block Google services, such as on Huawei devices, preventing you from using the cityscaper app.
Your provider does not support AR
Some smartphone providers do not support AR applications, regardless of age. With some effort, you can bypass the block. You can find instructions on how to proceed here.
